Such as complex AI that specializes in security prevention/detection. Think of this AI as agent Smith from the movie matrix. This AI could monitor threats that are coming from outside the system and also within the system.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Again this is all speculative and pointless because anything could happen in the singularity. We wont be stored under a scientists dirty office computer. Computers will be everywhere. Nano computers, smaller than a grain of sand. These computers will be everywhere and no organization/government will have the power to stop/erase/destroy any of these nano computers. And these computers will be connected together and can communicate with each other. Think of this as the internet on steroids. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;And as far as controlling the physical world, the mind can be put on robotic bodies to have physical interactions with your physical world.
